I was honestly trying to be helpful, saying that I kind of resented some of their terminology regarding some of the mortifying stuff going on, the vitriol and vile spewing.
So, in order to not put myself on the wrong side, I begin to self-identify as Zeta. And who is this Zeta, you might ask? Claiming to be "above the fray"?
Not "above the fray", but honestly and contendedly "apart from the fray".
We see how in the popular diatribes there is an "ass end" and a head that sometimes plays the role, and at times there is a bit of a tug of war between the two, but usually its all smiles isn't it? Even during a Nazi rally on Pennsylvania Avenue, worthy of the grand militaristic visions of the North Korean dictator.
Maybe they'll all fly into a bug zapper, and then fry, with that little second-long glow being kind of like a eulogy.
Honestly, I've been deep in the system, and encouraged to do so by my superiors and familiars, for reasons of their own. What becomes apparent is that everyone wants to blame someone, but rarely do they blame the actual guy that lit the fuse?
Anyway, of the duality between Alpha and Omega, we have all been there, but these other folks were throwing around Gamma and Delta terminology, which unfortunately, just by virtue of the accompanying acronyms(and a lot of industries survive on the strength of their acronyms), I'm seemingly put on the opposite end of the tape measure.
Which I find a bit worrisome.
And there are always worrisome acronyms that must be serviced.
Back to being apart from the fray: my own little island, with Emerson screaming at me in my head, "NO MAN IS AN ISLAND!" And I'm thinking, nobody else is really me, either, so maybe I can carve out some new territory.
Like "Zeta Island Bird Sanctuary and Communicable Disease Research Station", with a focus more on diseases than bird watching or animal husbandry.
Use a pellet gun to pelt them with RFID chips from a distance, then let the little skippers cavort around the island while we sit at our microscopes watching things dance about on little glass slides.
